Elizabeth Country House is located in Minerbio, a small town in the Bolognese plain just 20 minutes from Bologna and 30 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Argenta. The streets of the village are perfect for walking, with many ancient Roman structures still visible. The beating heart of Minerbio is the majestic Rocca Isolani, a historic residence from the 1300s embellished with frescoes and decorations by 16th-century painter Amico Aspertini, which can only be visited during the Sagra Settembrina. Next to the Rocca stands the Palazzo Nuovo, an important mid-16th-century work by the architect Bartolomeo Triachini. You will also discover the 18th-century church of San Giovanni Battista, designed by celebrated architect Carlo Francesco Dotti.
