Originally constructed in the 15th century, the building has seen many updates and extensions in its long history.

Additional spaces, such as the hotel’s inner yard, blend seamlessly into the existing building. Throughout the renovation, traditional materials, such as clay, tin, stone, and original barn wood, were used. The new part of the hotel, meanwhile, has been crafted to serve as a supporting backdrop to the palace.

Interior design YesDesign Architecture

With the majority of the mansion dating back centuries, the goal was to keep the history visible in a direct way.

Thus, all the existing frescoes and unique textures of the walls are emphasized through lighting, while the main features of the hotel strive for elegance and classical purity, both through materials and details. A cozy, artistic atmosphere includes soft, deep tones in the public areas and artwork in the rooms.

History From czars to Napolean

This Baroque palace and residence of the noble Pacai family was one of the most ornate in Vilnius for centuries.

Dating back to 1677, the palace has witnessed the times of Lithuanian-Polish Commonwealth, the rule of Russian czars, and Napoleon’s grand entrance to Vilnius.

Food & Drink New Baltic

Michelin-star dining at Restaurant Pacai puts Old Town Vilnius on the “must-go” list for lovers of great cuisine.

Unlocking the authentic tastes of Lithuania, the hotel’s popular restaurant presents expressive and distinctive flavors using local ingredients. Here, caraway seeds, dill, horseradish, and many other flavorful elements come together to create innovative and original dishes that are attracting the attention of both foodies and the Michelin Guide.
