Architecture Soho vision
Using the distinctive local landscape of Soho as a reference, the hotel’s architects constructed a building complementary to the scale of those in the area, while bringing a fresh contemporary touch to one of London’s key leisure and entertainment districts. In the courtyard, a commanding bronze sculpture by British artist Tony Cragg takes center stage. This is Firmdale’s third build from the ground up, having mainly restored or reconstructed buildings previously.

The floor-to-ceiling Crittal windows allow plenty of natural light, highlighting the striking furnishings and Kemp’s eclectic collection of art, which includes standout pieces by such influential artists as Hermione Skye, Eileen Cooper, and Humans Since 1982.

Entertainment A perfect game
complete with back-lit bowling balls, vintage bowling shoes, and bowling pin lamps. Two Howard Hodgkin paintings adorn one of the walls, while a 190-seat state-of-the-art theater is available for private hire.
Food & Drink Garden to table
Fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowering plants on the Roof Terrace are used in the Ham Yard bar for seasonal cocktails and in the hotel’s modern European restaurant, which offers à la carte selections as well as a pre-theater menu and an extravagant Sunday lunch. One can also enjoy al fresco drinking and dining in the hotel’s large, oak-tree-filled courtyard, or head to the Orangery for afternoon tea and coffees.
